Reclaiming Your Power: Living a Stress-less Life

We all live with stress each day. But how do you react to daily stress? For some people, life’s stressors cause them to become irritable, short-tempered, or unable to concentrate on tasks. Others have interrupted sleep (trouble falling asleep or waking early in the morning with racing thoughts). Then there are those who react by eating junk food — and a lot of it! The good news is that no matter how busy your schedule, it is possible to manage stress and keep it from ruining your life.

Uzma Sadaqat, an expert and renowned Clinical Psychologist shares her thoughts on how to live a stress-less life and how keeping you happy everyday is an achievable goal. She has gained vast experience and practical knowledge working with hundreds of individuals struggling with substance use disorders, psychiatrist illnesses and long-standing problems since 2002. She has an MPhil in Clinical Psychology. She is trained in Denial Management Counseling, Structured Family Intervention and Gottman Method Couples Counseling from USA. She is also an IVLP (International Visitors Leadership Program, 2016) Alumna. She frequently appears on TV talk shows and Morning shows on various TV Channels. Many people know what the word “boundaries” , but they have no idea what they are. You might think of boundaries as something like a property line or “brick wall” used to keep people out. But boundaries are not rigid lines drawn in the sand that are clear for all to see.

Boundaries are a way to take care of ourselves. When you understand how to set and maintain healthy boundaries, you can avoid the feelings of resentment, disappointment, and anger that build up when limits have been pushed.
